Audi’s concept RS Q3

The Audi Q3 is a opening a whole new car segment. It’s a premium SUV in compact form. A vehicle that is sporty, efficient, versatile, comfortable on and off road. So they say. We think of this car the same way we think of the Nissan Juke. Well actually we just laugh uncontrollably at it. Maybe this is a competitor.

Unfortunately, some one at Audi decided that it need a bit more testosterone, giving us the idea of the RS Q3. As a start it will be showing its face at Auto China 2012 Beijing Motor Show. The RS Q3, comes from the theme of thrilling dynamic performance to explore the potential of the Q3 in a new way.

The important bit we know is that it will contain Audi’s phenomenal and powerful 2.5 TFSI. Producing 360hp/265kw  465Nm torque . 0-100km/h in 5.2 seconds with a claimed top speed of 265 km/h. Power transmitted to the road via a seven speed S-tronic connected to a Quattro all wheel drive system.

As a Audi tradition, if a vehicle contains the concept name, it means soon it will be a real production car. Can it live up to the hype it creates. Well we just going to have to wait and see.
