In 1954, Mercedes Benz introduced to the world the 300SL. In the words of many men, this was the first supercar the world saw or had on it. A race car for the streets if you will.
After having wins in many many races including Le Mans, the race car was ready to conquer every day roads. With its light-weight, space-age, fancy-page tubular chassis design. Which made it really light on its hummm wheels.
After that great brain wave by the engineers, they then looked at each other and said "scheizer ( While drinking beer). What wis usn going to do umm-about di doors". Shwam Bam, an up the gull-wing doors appeared.
Years later, no really, like a lot of years later we see the birth of those gull-wing doors attached to the 3 spoke star badge and the model renamed to SLS AMG.
This is just the best from the Sindelfingen plant in Germany where it's made. A car thought of, designed, and made from the AMG department which I got to say, more Mercs should be built this way.
The AMG engineers haven't held back on this beast, under the bonnet comes their famous 6.2L V8, cranking 563 horses and torque-ing 650 Nm. Acceleration takes you from 0-100 km/h in 3.8 secs and goes on to a top speed of more than 320 km/h if you have the road and testis to find out. While fuel burns away nicely at the front, at the back you get a noise never heard by gods and even Earth doesn't mind what or much gas comes out of it.
It's also an improvement on their previous model the SLR and many say, this is what thaty should have always been. But I say it's just a great car.
