2013 Ferrari California

Flowing out the gates of Marenello is the new sharper, more powerful, nip and tuck convertible from Ferrari, the California.

A Strong competitor for the GT crown and giving the lights of Bentley Continental GT, Mercedes Benz SL and Aston Martin’s DB9(S) a run for their money. Around 70 percent of California buyers have made the switch from whatever to this, despite being the entry level Ferrari.

The 2013 model offers up a new optional “Handling Speciale Package” with stiffer springs, shocks and a quicker steering rack for keen drivers who find the California a bit too soft for their liking. The 4.3L V8 has been reworked under fancy machine nary and fitted with new ECU mapping to help it produce an extra 30hp/23kw giving it a total output of 482hp/360kw and 505Nm. Switching through Ferrari’s first ever seven speed double-clutch gearbox, the 0-100km/h time is now an impressive 3.8 seconds and a top speed of 312km/h.

Weighing in 30kg lighter than before, it is also more structurally rigid for its convertibleness, thanks to aluminium and some fancy techniques involved with it.

Place your order now as it takes six months to build it to your spec. That's just typical Ferrari way.
