On the over all the shape doesn't seem to have changed must, still using the box type shape but if you look closer you can see all the small design cue changes. With a smaller front grill and Jewel like LED's sitting on top of horizontal air intake's. The bonnet also dips a bit more giving it a sleeker look and the sides then rise up into the body, giving it a more subtle but still impressive shoulder line. They have also increased the size of the rear doors, giving easier access to the rear passengers.
Land Rover has also used aluminium in the fame and chassis making it quite a bit lighter than the current one, as we'll as more fuel efficient. The current top of the line, Range Rover is the company's way of testing the market to move the car even further up market. Mean a more luxurious but more expensive model. So far there are only three engines available, a slightly modified 4,4L TDV8, a 5,0L supercharged V8 and a new supercharged V6, which will be borrowed from it cousin the Jaguar F type (see previous articles on the F-Type). As we do not yet have the specs on it, we can just say expect improved performance, vastly improve fuel economy and better handling.
We are watching this SUV closely as it is one of our favorites, so when we know some thing (like the specs) we will let you know immediately. After hearing what design boss Gerry McGovern had to say, at the recent Beijing Motor Show, "Next-generation versions of the Freelander, Discovery, Range Rover and Range Rover Sport will be far more recognizable as a family." So if you are interested in the other models Rover has to offer, expect the new Range Rover to set the tone for the rest.
