New Corvette C7 Sneak peek

For some time Corvette have been keeping all the details of the New C7 very quite and out of the public eye, however we have some infomation for you and some sneak pictures.

We have found out that the new C7 will stick to the front mount engine not the mid mount like reports had suggested. We also know now that they still will use a V8 but a complete rebuilt version we have heard that Chevrolet has spend $1 billion on developing the new engine as well as $131 million on the plant in Kentucky which is were the C7 will be built.

The wheel base has also been lengthened to improve both handling and comfort also cabin and luggage space. The designers have also worked hard on improving the cars easy to drive capabilities to make it easier for "not so skilled drivers" but still keep driving excitement and grip.
From the reports on the suspension they seem to have just improved the C6 underpinnings, they will also be using a new 7 speed dual clutch transmission and a 7 speed manual (just like the new Porsche 991).

According to reports there were thoughts of putting a 3,6 turbo charged range to add to the 5,5 liter V8 ( down sized from the 6,3 L to improve fuel economy. This however is just speculation as true Corvette fans are not to happy about these reports, we will just have to wait for the C8 to see this happen. The new Chev will use a alluminum space frame with fiber glass and carbon fiber mixed in to improve weight thus improving fuel economy which is what Chev has on the for front of there minds.

All the engineers and specialist at Chevrolet have worked very hard to make this new C7 the best Vette ever made, even so far as to claim to have the same handling and performance of the new Porsche 911 (991). All we can say is from the teaser pic these sneak pictures we are very excited to see what those American's have come up with. We have heard that the C7 will be called a 2014 model but will be sold from the fall of 2013.
