New Acura NSX

Rumors have been floating around for a wile but it seems that they are true. Yes ladies and gentle man a concept car of the famous Acura (Honda) NSX has been released and this is what it looks like and man does it look as great as the original. It has been all time coming but we finally get to see the car that has influenced Honda and performance connoisseurs, as the original falls into the history books.

Fingers crossed that the company if finally agreeing on a design. Like its predecessor it has a mid-mounted V6 but now is direct injection V-TEC that sends power to the rear wheels via a dual-clutch gear box. The new one however unlike the 1990 version has 3 supplementary electric motors, 2 of them send power to the front wheels torque during cornering. Giving it the handling of a all wheel drive, Honda calls it "super handling all-wheel drive" (SH-AWD).

With the world in ECO mode Honda is quick to point out that any new NSX model will be as efficient as possible. CEO Takanobu Ito said at the unveiling "in this new era, even as we focus on the fun-to-drive spirit of the NSX, I think a supercar must respond positively to environmental responsibilities" he also confirmed that is would be for the driver "the NSX will make the driver one with the car to enhance dynamic driving abilities'

It is interesting to note that Ito had led the development on the original NSX. We have not been given figures yet as Honda has kept its lips shut but expect impressive stuff. Rumor is that the NSX will go to production in the next 3 years and the development team will be based at Honda RetD Americas while the car will built in Ohio. All I can say is we will keep our ears on the ground and let you know any new info but we sure are exited to see what's next.
