New A1 Quattro Review

A couple weeks ago we did an article on the Audi A1 clubsport, we also mentioned in that article the road going production version will be the Audi A1 Quattro, and here it is. This Audi will be a limited run, so limited in fact, that only 333 will be built, all left hand drive (that's even more rare than the R8 GT spyder). The price for one of these bad boys will set you back £41 000, unfortunately all have already been sold on order. Ok so I raved about how much I liked the clubsport and how much I like this one but true is, I or you will probably never owe one and a sighting will be very rare, so all we can do is dream n look and the pictures.

Ok let's talk numbers, in the Quattro they have fitted a 2,0 liter 4 cylinder turbo charged engine ( as opposed to the 5 cylinder turbo on the clubsport). It produces 252 Bhp and 258Ib ft, this will shoot it to 100 km/h in 5,7 seconds ( 1,2 seconds faster than the current 182 bhp A1 1,4 TSFI) and on to a claimed top speed of 152 mph. We hear it will also be very fuel efficient as well. The Quattro as the name suggest will use Audi's new quattro system that we can see on the up coming (220bhp) S1.

This Audi Quattro only comes with a 6 speed manual which is much of a delight to driving enthusiast. This car also has a tweaked chassis which Audi says has made it much tort and leaner for better handle also to fans delight, but this is under skirt things. This limited car will only come in a glacier white, a deep front bumper with proper in takes, red-tinted headlights, sill extensions, twin exhaust pipes, the big rear wing and white alloy rims.

On those gorgeous rims is 225/35 R18 tyres, 312 mm brakes with black calliopes and a 3 stage ESP system with a sport mode and a mode for your owen settings. There's a red rev counter, red stitching and black nappa leather which make an absolute awesome combination making you feel you are in a proper racer. The first costumer's are set to receive their prizes third quarter 2012. This is what happens when engineers go crazy on a hatch to produce the pinnacle hot hatch, previously the Focus RS was top that list but this new Quattro has taking the crown. With German build quality and lovely coupled with racing precision, this is the new king of the hot hatch hill.
