2014 Ford Mustang
After the success of the 2008 gone back to old school Ford Mustang, Ford has been on a roll and recently they have released pictures of the next generation. Even though some middle aged men aren't yet ready to let go of the retro remake, the new design is designed by an italian designer and we have to say it looks beautiful. Few things are more american than the pony car that spawned many copy cats over the years. Fords new approach is to make every baby booming family to buy a mustang instead of a chevrolet or beetles.
Which is why there is the new sleek look, to appeal to a younger market as well. The new model will be launched some time in 2014 and we will just have to wait till then to see if the new look pays off. The Ford Mustang is an iconic brand that could be made or broken by this drastic change. A Ford spokesmen said that the reason for this new direction is a study showed that the average age of a Mustang buyer is 51, and Ford what's a younger market to get involved.
With the increasing stringent fuel regulations in the U.S.A, Ford has come under pressure especially with competition for outside markets. There is a even a rumor of a Mustang Hybrid, there is a risk of a tidal wave of opposition from traditionalists (and us) but they say a younger generation might be more accepting of the toned down Ford (we disagree). We have not received engine sizes, specs or stats but as soon as we do we will let you know. We are very keen on this new Mustang direction a will definitely keep our eyes open so check this space out for further news.
