To Take Action

The Swedish meaning for the word Agera. And “Ageless” in Greek. Leaving no doubt what we are going to talk about. Yes the Koenigsegg Agera R. The hypercar from the land of people that don’t seem to be bothered by anything, until they want to prove a point. Out of all the Koenigsegg’s in history, here we have demented insanity on a complete new level.

The design of the Koenigsegg has been around for 15 years and time after time, it keeps getting better and better. The car is built around a carbon monocoque chassis for maximum stiffness. Koenigsegg design and build unique suspension system for the Agera R, giving it comfort, controlled handling and driving enjoyment.

Aerodynamics is where this car shines. With a coefficient drag of 0.33 in high speed mode and Cd 0.37 in track mode. Giving the car the ability to reach 440km/h, if the right conditions are met. Despite this, all cars are limited to 375km/h but the driver can “unlock” top speed mode by using the infotainment system (If only the Germans would let us do such).

Reason for all this Hype is the astonishing figures this car produces. 5L V8 bi-turbo. 900 hp on 95 octane fuel or 1115 hp/820kw on E85 Bio fuel, with peak torque of 1200Nm. And only consumes 14.7L per 100km. Seven speed dual clutch transmission and E-diff help put power on the road.

0-100 km/h in 2.9 seconds.
0-300 km/h in 14.53 seconds. Beating the Bugatti Veyron’s 14.6 seconds.
0-300-0 km/h in 21.19 seconds.  A world record.

The Agera R broke six world land speed records for a production car, including Nardo speed record, Sport Auto Slalom, Hockenheimring speed record, 0-200km/h, 0-300 km/h and the 0-300-0 km/h.

What else can we come to expect from Mr Koenigsegg and his team of mad engineers. Guess we just have to wait and see, if there’s ever a limit.
