The first Ferrari imported into Beijing was the 348 TS 20
years ago. Now 20 years later, there will be a party in front of a whole new permanent
brand exhibition centre outside of Maranello at the Italia center of Shanghai
World Expo Park, which will last 3 years and feature the best collections of Ferrari’s.
To celebrate this milestone, Ferrari has produced 20 special
edition of their 458 Italia exclusively for the Chinese market. So to make this
different then a normal 458, this special edition features a new special Marco
Polo Red, especially developed for this exclusive car. And a new livery strip
which represents an longma spirit which is an old Chinese idiom meaning the
vigor and spirit of the legendary dragon-horse. Phewww…
The dragon is a symbol of courage, passion and success.
Painted on the bonnet in gold, under a black stripe to symbolise a race track, together
with Ferrari’s prancing horse, gives the image of a perfect combination. Another
touch is gold rims and a bit of gold splashed in the interior, plus a 20th
Anniversary Special Edition on the dash.
Happy Anniversary Ferrari and China.
